Master of Laws (LL.M.) International Law

Objective : The two years Master of Laws (LL.M.) Degree with specialisation in International Law conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the field of international law with a view to mitigating the disastrous effects of global wars and fights and for solving international disputes with the help of international laws, resolutions and protocols.

Eligibility : LL.B. or an equivalent Degree.

Duration : 2 years

Award : Master of Laws (LL.M.) Degree with specialisation in International Law shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University.

Careers in International Law

International Law is the set of rules generally regarded and accepted as binding in relations between States and Nations. It differs from national legal systems in that it only concerns nations rather than private citizens. A National Law may become an International Law when treaties delegate national jurisdiction to the supranational tribunals such as the European Court of Human Rights or the International Criminal Court. There is a growing demand and scope for the Master’s Degrees holders specialising in the area of international law and related fields like public international law, supranational law, law of nations etc.

Total Fee : Rs. 38,150

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 38,150 in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University Nagaland, Sodzulhou and Kozabe, P.O.- ARTC NH-29, Dimapur-Kohima Road, Chümoukedima – 797115, Nagaland by registered / speed post only.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at different Examination Centers within the State of Nagaland (Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha).

Master’s Thesis : All students are required to submit a Master’s Thesis at the end of second year.

Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subjectwise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
