Objective : The two years Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Habitat and Population Studies conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of human settlements, human health, rural and urban settlements, population pressure, environment and development issues, population explosions, nuptiality and fertility.
Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline Duration : Two years
Award : Master of Science with specialisation in Habitat and Population Studies shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland.

India and other populous nations must maintain its population size in order to reduce the pressure on the Mother Earth. For this, a competent cadre of young professionals is urgently required to help the Government of India and the NGO Sector for promoting family welfare programmes by evolving new communication strategies for better family planning for different communities and religions by revolutionising the programme of reducing population through population education programmes among the citizenry through social organisations and the corporate groups under their corporate social responsibility.
Total Fee : Rs. 28,150
Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 28,150 in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Sodzulhou Village, P.O. – ARTC, NH-39, Dimapur – 797115 Nagaland by registered / speed post only.
Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at different Examination Centers within the State of Nagaland (Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha).
Master’s Thesis : All students are required to submit a Master’s Thesis at the end of second year.
Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
