Bachelor of Science (Medical Record Science)

Objective : The three years Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Medical Record Science conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of drugs and disease codification, health data documentation, networking of hospitals and institutions etc.

Eligibility : 10+2 with science subject

Duration : 3 years

Awards : Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Medical Record Science shall be awarded to the successful candidates.

Careers in Medical Record Science
Those trained in the area of Medical Record Science are needed for the classification and codification of drugs, ESSSS and their treatments besides management of scientific documentation with information search and retrieval, networking of hospitals, health insurance, health care data management. There is a huge demand for such experts for applying effective communication skills and strategies in interactions with multi-disciplinary units.

 

Total Fee : Rs. 24,150
 

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 24,150 in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Sodzulhou Village, NH-39, Dimapur – 797115 by registered post only.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at different Examination Centers within the State of Nagaland (Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha). 

Attachment with Hospitals : All admitted students must be attached to a full fledged hospital having a pathological laboratory. Admissions will not be granted without such an attachment.

Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subjectwise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
