Bachelor of Science (Dietetics)

Objective : The three years Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Dietetics conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of diet management, dietetic consultancy, clinical dietetics, community dietetics, gerontological dietetics, paediatric dietetics etc.

Eligibility : 10+2 with science subject

Duration : Three years

Awards : Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Dietetics shall be awarded to the successful candidates.

Careers in Dietetics
Those having expertise in Dietetics advise on what to eat in order to lead a healthy lifestyle or achieve a specific health related goal. They work in a variety of settings from clinical to community and public policy to communications. They work in the treatment and prevention of disease by administering medical nutrition in hospitals. In addition, a large number of dietitians work in community and public health settings. Many of them work with food and nutrition industry.

Total Fee : Rs. 24,150

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 24,150 in the name of  “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Sodzulhou Village, NH-39, Dimapur – 797115 by registered post only.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at different Examination Centers within the State of Nagaland (Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha). 

Attachment with Hospitals : All admitted students must be attached to a full fledged hospital having a pathological laboratory. Admissions will not be granted without such an attachment.

Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
