Master of Science (M.Sc.) Peace and Global Security

Objective : The two years Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Peace and Global Security conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of conflict resolution and management, war, peace and security, peace education, rights and duties education, national and international security, design of conventions and declarations on war, peace and international understanding, guidelines for combating terrorism.

Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline Duration : Two years

Award : Master of Science with specialisation in Peace and Global Security shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland.

Careers in Peace and Global Security

We live in an interconnected world where conflicts and issues such as mass atrocities, proliferation of weapons and terrorism affect all citizens, not victims of such horrors, India has a strong tradition of working with international community to help foster global peace and security and can help strengthened multilateral cooperation for addressing the world’s most pressing challenges. There is an urgent need for encouraging innovative and multilateral approach to building a safer world. Experts will prevent the crisis of peacelessness.

Total Fee : Rs. 28,150

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 28,150 in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Sodzulhou Village, P.O. – ARTC, NH-39, Dimapur – 797115 Nagaland by registered / speed post only.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at different Examination Centers within the State of Nagaland (Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha).

Master’s Thesis : All students are required to submit a Master’s Thesis at the end of second year.

Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
