Bachelor of Science (Nutrition)

Objective : The three years Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Nutrition conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of food chemistry, public health, nutritional biochemistry, food quality, food biotechnology, diet and dietetics.

Eligibility : 10+2 with science subject

Duration : 3 years

Awards : Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Nutrition shall be awarded to the successful candidates.

Careers in Nutrition
Nutrition or Nourishment is the provision by which the necessary materials in the form of food are given to cells and organisms to support life. This graduation programme provides the students with a comprehensive that merges the science of nutrition with a broader view of wellness, community and the environment. Knowledge of nutrition helps to know why people choose to eat the foods they have been advised not to eat. Those completing this Degree are absorbed in immediately in hospitals, hotels and industrial houses..

 

Total Fee : Rs. 24,150
 

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 24,150 in the name of  “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University Nagaland, Sodzulhou and Kozabe, P.O.- ARTC NH-29, Dimapur-Kohima Road, Chümoukedima – 797115, Nagaland by registered post only.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at different Examination Centers within the State of Nagaland (Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha). 

Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
