M.Sc. in Sustainable Development

Objective : The two years Distance Learning Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Sustainable Development conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, energy policies, green movements, eco-philosophy, environmental disasters, biodiversity and pollution control.

Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline Duration : Two years

Award : Master of Science with specialisation in Sustainable Development shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland. They will also be eligible for admission in the M.Phil. & Ph.D. degree programmes in the relevant Schools and Faculties at The Global Open University.

Examination : To be conducted every year in June and December at Agartala, Aizawl, Allahabad, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Agra, Alwar, Ambala, Bareilly, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Bhilai, Bokaro, Buxar, Chandigarh, Chandrapur, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Dimapur, Dewas, Etawah, Gangtok, Ghaziabad, Goa, Gorakhpur, Guna, Gwalior, Guwahati, Hanumangarh, Hyderabad, Hubli, Imphal, Indore, Itanagar, Jammu, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Jind, Jabalpur, Janjgir, Karnal, Kohima, Kolkata, Kollam, Kota, Kanpur, Kolar, Kathmandu, Kolhapur, Khurdwadi, Lucknow, Meerut, Mumbai, Motihari, Nagpur, Nasik, Pathankot, Port Blair, Patna, Pune, Ranchi, Raipur, Rohtak, Rishikesh, Shillong, Shimla, Sri Ganganagar, Srinagar, Sagar, Sirsa, Trivandrum, Tikamgarh, Udaipur, Varanasi, Wokha.
 

Total Fee : Rs. 18,125 l Ist Instalment Rs. 4,625 l 2nd Instalment Rs. 4,500 l 3rd Instalment Rs. 4,500 l 4th Instalment Rs. 4,500

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the first instalment of fee, i.e. Rs. 4,625 in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Director, The Global Open University, Nagaland, Opp. Railway Station, Dimapur - 797112, Nagaland by registered / speed post only. The other three instalments of Rs. 4,500 are payable after every six months respectively.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 150 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations.

Master's Thesis : All admitted students are required to submit a Master's Thesis at the end of 2nd year.
